In Which She Says Sorry. Hello? Hello?

I have just figured out no one reads my blog. So do I owe anyone an apology? I really don't know. And if there is anyone reading my blog then, sorry. Also, post a comment. On anything. It can be about cheese. I'm serious. Cheese.
Moving on, self and other unknown blog-readers. I have NEVER felt this before. I'm trying to decide if I hate/like the book I'm reading. I also should give you a few reviews. Sorry, I haven't had the time. Recently it has been very busy. As in very busy. Like really busy. Which is starge considering I've still made time for reading.
Anyway, here is what I came here to present:

Nothing. Until tomorrow. In the meantime I'll be sleeping.

Au revoir.

Sorry, things have been hectic lately. I just have time to write this note. I may not post something until Friday, but in the meantime I'm going to leave you a bit from Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, so I can give you the review sometime later in the week.
I've stumbled into the land of pretty people. And here I'd thought I'd come from the land of pretty people. You know how sometimes on T.V they'll show you a picture of a celebrity from high school, and that person looks perfectly normal, not really any more attractive than anyone else? And you think what happened? Why is Jennifer Garner so hot now?I'll tell you: money happened -Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, top page 42, published by Harper Teen (an imprint of Harper Collins). Am I supposed to do a bibliography?

More will be coming later. But for post in the commets section below about what you want me to read.

Review: Timeless by Alexandra Monir

A while back I didn't have a blog. But I still read books, so I wanted to share with you what I thought of Timeless by Alexandra Monir.  It's not a huge review but it should still give you an idea of what the book's about.

Book: Timeless
Author: Alexandra Monir
Pages: 304
Publisher: Delacorte Book for Young Readers
Rating: 5/5
Summary: Music can draw us back into memories, moments, and places, and in Timeless, debut author and recording artist Alexandra Monir transports readers into the glamorous Gilded Age and Roaring Twenties with soulful lyrics and swooning jazz tones. Alexandra wrote two original songs for Timeless, the lyrics of which are trickled throughout the book, slowly revealing a decades-old family mystery. In Timeless, we are introduced to Michele Windsor, one of the modern bluebloods of the historic Windsor family. Struggling to find her place in a world of prestige and old-fashioned values, Michele sifts through family relics in search of answers. When she discovers her great-great-grandmother’s diary and begins poring through its pages, she finds herself whisked back in time to the Gilded Age. There, Michele meets the man whom she always wished existed, but hadn’t dared to believe in. Inextricably drawn to each other, the two fall in love. But as Michele drifts between modern life and the world of the past, she begins to piece together an alarming family mystery -- one that may doom her life and the life of the man she loves. Timeless is a captivating romance and mystery spanning three decades of high-society life and intrigue in New York City. --Jacqueline Segall ( Information above found on Amazon, except for book picture)

Thoughts:
Timeless is a beautifully written novel about a girl who goes back in time a hundred years. When I was reading Timeless I was so lost in the book it almost felt I was there. I know someone else has said this about another book but, is this really Alexandra Monirs debut novel? It was written so perfectly with descriptions in places you wanted and a poetic, fresh feel to the writing. I can't say enough good things about Ms. Monir's writing, can I?
The idea was great as well, very original, and interesting. Although I thought this book would of worked as a stand alone she added that cliffhanger in the end. Shocker! I also really enjoyed the characters. They seemed very real people who were trying to deal with grief and feeling . There were also nice little touches in this book that made you think, oh that's a nice little touch. For example Michele's mum being a small designer and a very understanding mum, made everything, the accident and Michele's sadness included so real.
I also learned a lot from this book as well. It was obvious Alexandra Monir did her research. Who new 1910 was a very fancy age. I also thought of it to be an in between age, where nothing was really happening. World War 1 didn't start until a bit later, and the 20s didn't come until well the 20s. Although most of the time traveling took place in 1910 there were a few other places in time Michele went back too. Truly an amazing book. I recommend heading over to your local bookstore/library and seeing if they have it.

Character Spotlight: Bella Swan

Okay, a lot of us might be sick of all the Twilight stuff by now, but I thought I'd do a spotlight on Bella Swan. She used to be such an original character back when Twilight was first published, but then well other authors started remaking her over and over again. I think Bella's a bit tired  by now don't you think. So, she's decided to sit down with the original Edward and Jacob (their pretty tired too) and talk about some things and just relax
( There are a few spoilers here and there, but I think you all know about them.)
Edward: I hated you from the start.
Jacob: Really, cause I never liked you either.
Edward: There's something we have in common! I'm surprised.
Jacob: Really?
Edward: Really. Oh and another thing we have in common is Bella.
Bella: No, in another story I'm pretty sure both of you hated me.
Edward: Huh?
Bella: Oh and I'm in another movie. I think it's called Vampire Academy. Edward, your in it, Jake your in the next one.
Chipmunk: Squeak!
Edward and Jacob: FOOD!
Bella: Ick!
Edward: Sorry Bella, don't be freaked out right now even though you should be.
Bella: I wasn't. UNTIL NOW.
Edward: Don't get mad.
Bella: I already am. Bye Edward. Hello Jake.
Jake: Um, if you haven't noticed I'm going to be taken by your daughter in the next book.
Renesmee : He's mine.
Bella: Okay then random person! Hello Edward!
Edward: Your back.
Bella: I had to be. It's in the movie and the book.
So my writings only okay, same with some of the jokes, but still you get the point. Right? I have also made a list of character's a lot like Bella.

1. Pretty much everyone

And so it goes from there because can't remember them, but I know there's a lot. Oh, and also tomorrow I will be posting a review for Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.
PS. I do like Twilight. I'm not kidding, and Meyers a great writer, but I can't help but crack a smile at how hilarious the whole Edward/ Jacob feud is.

Weekly Geeks- Time Capsule

I thought this weeks Weekly Geeks was perfect. I'm supposed to do a time capsule of any point in my life. I decided to choose a time in my life where I just started liking reading and music. I was around 4 to 7 years old. Before we continue though I would like to share with you little Lexi.
Profile:
When I was around 6 years old I had short blond hair and midget sized dimples. I smiled and skipped around a lot, and always had a book with me. I remember pinching my 4 year old brother when I got mad at him, and later in life him getting back at me by scraching one of my chicken pox spots. To this day I still have the scar. Still, I was a quite well mannered for a six year old. I always said please and thank you, answered the phone the corret way, and did what my parents told me too. I was an honors student and got the smartest girl in my class award. I still remember my friend saying her award was better beause she got something like best painter and her certificate had a craft the back. I just snapped back at her that they were same and everyones was great. Life was great and the world was great. I didn't know about war or death and as far as was concerned life went on forever.
My favorite books at the time were: Rainbow Magic,Disney Princesses Collection (is that what it's called?), and many other short books about sparkly fishes and a 'big' chapter book about a magical pony. Now I've reread some of the books I think to myself that I was crazy. I mean magical fairy kingdoms? Flying ponies? But I also see how I liked them because they took me to another world.
I also enjoyed music from Disney Channel and other interesting music like Britany Spears and the popular radio songs.
Soon I think I'll drag one of my old books put and do a review on it as well as post my old favorite song with it. No one ever told me Weekly Geeks couldn't go on forever. Or did they?

Lovely Covers

Last night I was thinking about all the beautiful YA book covers. So it leads me to this: Lovely Covers. In a way it's a meme. I've seen other people do things similar, so I decided why not do it yourself? Every month on a Friday afternoon (or morning) I will post covers I think are pretty. They don't even have to come out this month, or even be out. So, here I bring to you Lovely Covers.

Book: Rival
Author: Sara Bennett Wealer
Publisher: HarperTeen (Harper Collins)
Thoughts: This cover is beautiful. The blown up flower laying on a piano, with one petal coming of symbolizes the rival and friendship between the two girls and the music in the book. And an extra plus: the content is wonderful!
Book: Unearthly
Author: Cynthia Hand
Publisher: Harper Teen (Harper Collins)
Thoughts: The purple! The purple! It's so... angel like. And the chapter beginnings are beautful too. Just another sign that HarperTeen has a really great design team!
Book: Supernaturally
Author: Kierstan White
Publisher: HarperTeen ( Haper Collins)
Thoughts: One word: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The cover is wonderful, and the girl on the front is very Evie looking. And on the back there is lightning! Even prettier than Paranormalcy's cover.
Book: Demon Glass
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Publisher: Disney Hyperion
Thoughts: This cover is darling! I love how on both of the covers she sees a prettier reflection of herself. It's so lovely I think I might faint!

Well thats it for today. Come back next month to see more wonderful covers!
